Charges for a service not received

On may 31, 2023 I picked up a car, that I had reserved at Budget/Avis on Budapester Str. 43 Berlin 10787. Rental Agreement Number 247726964, they gave a Volskwagen T-Roc, License plate number DE EUWU2263.
We left that location around 4:00pm heading to Spandau, I felt very soft clutch pedal every time it was pressed, something I though was normal to the model of that vehicle, and then every time I shifted gears the car did not accelarate as fast as it should, even when revving the engine. Later a burning smell could be smelled inside the car. I decided lo look for a safe place to stop, since all this happened on streets with heavy traffic.
We stopped and parked at the block of Loschmidtstrasse 1-19, Charlottemburg, about 3 km away from the location where we picked the car up.
From them we started to call the Rental Company, (difficult task, since they do not answer calls, and when they do, put calls in hold for a while) requesting road assistance and a replacement
car, since they gave us a car with mechanical issues.
After more than 4 hours of waiting, at 8:46pm, the tow truck showed up, just to pick the car up, leaving us in the middle of the street without any replacement car.
Later, we called multiple times to Customer Service, first for a solution to the problen and a replacement car, but since they were unable to provide one, we called to terminate the contract.
We had to continue my travel to Cologne, so, I had to reserve another car at SIXT Renta a Car, pre-paid it, late that night of that day May 31, to be picked up next day, rental that went pretty well.
On June 11, I sent them a "Report of Accident or Damage" to benjamin.hagos@abg.com, along with a email requesting chargeback of my deposit, no response received, nobody contacted me by any means.
On June 15, 2023, I found they were charging me US $3736.75 this amount included rental and "damages the car was returned with". Since the car was given to me with the faulty transmission, being total responsibility of the merchant to provide a car in good mechanical condition for a 5 days period, and no replacement car was not given to me, I started the dispute of the total charges through Citibank of USA, which issued my credit car.
After a long period of time they charged me back the amount of only US $3380.16 , this amount was being charged for the alleged damages, but they are still charging me US $356.59 for rental services.
I am looking for ways to get that amount back, since they not provided me any service, and when I was in Europe tried multiple times to solve this problem with them, and only got as response that they will be contacting me, and they never did it. I am back in the USA, State of California and from here it is more difficult to contact them.
